Humanitarian
Economic Development Endeavors (H.E.D.E.)
Also
Known as Non-Profit Economic Development Endeavors (N.E.D.E.)
and Non-Profit Economic Growth (N.P.E.G.)
We
are a firm believer in abundance and that a major part of
making a difference in the world is through Humanitarian
Economic Development Endeavors (H.E.D.E.), a focus
on global economic development to create badly needed jobs
and growth that are governed by humanitarian values, doctrines
and objectives. Through community empowerment objectives
we can empower people, corporations and governments to build
towards a better future to work in cooperation and to share
in the abundance of our world for the betterment of humanity.
The White Light Group (TWLG)
provides unique opportunities to technology groups, industries
and corporations to apply their technologies and resources
responsibly for the betterment of humanity, to share in
the abundance of what life has to offer on a global scale.
Only through the responsible use of those technologies and
resources we can make a difference by creating a wealth
of opportunities for cooperation that provides not only
economic growth, but also a wellspring of abundance that
can make a difference in the world.
Economic Development Plans
As a non-profit organization we do not take a stand in government
affairs, however we do offer an opinion at times in ways
that may help create new jobs or even prevent the loss of
jobs in struggling communities and countries.
Building economic growth by developing gains in economics
through competing with other countries and communities to
establish factories locally can build economic stability
in a community is an old idea, which countries and communities
are continuing to compete in.
With the change times of the world economics it has become
apparent that competing for commercial business on a global
level may not be the answer to establishing stability or
even a strong economic growth within a community.
In many cases building economic vitality may actually lie
in developing micro-enterprises focused on locally owned
businesses that establish low dependence on large commercial
enterprises.
To begin the revitalization of a country or community should
be based on social interaction of its people and establishing
self-sustainable economic projects. The primary goal
is to build a richer community life that will provide the
necessary substance for future growth and a glimpse of things
to come. The energy efficiency of economic development
programs that focuses on locally owned and operated micro-enterprises
will develop not only sound economic development plans,
but also social changes, which will improve the quality
of life. Rural communities and inner city communities
need to be taken in to consideration local resources and
diversity on equal terms in order to create an economical
balance for the community as a whole.
The people of poverty stricken countries have lost faith
in their local and federal governments to govern properly
to establish economic growth that truly benefits the public
in whole to open new opportunities for micro-enterprises.
By focusing on local enterprises we can successfully establish
economic growth that benefits any community.
It is important for community-based organizations to work
with local and federal governments to reduce government
taxation on new enterprises that will not only create but
also encourage the number of new startup enterprises annually.
Communities need to work with local and federal governments
to establish new business guidelines and taxation laws that
benefit new micro-enterprises that will encourage economic
growth.
Globalization can play a significant roll in economic development
through tariffs and trade on a global level. Globalization
can bring economic growth through increased exports and
imports, however it can also cause the increased importing
of goods at lower prices that local businesses cannot compete
with. International trade, import and exporting institutions
can play a significant roll in the economic growth of micro-enterprises
in a community, as long as the imported goods do not dominate
over locally manufactured and produced goods. Communities
must encourage local governments to create proper laws that
favor locally manufactured and produced goods including
badly needed jobs. Competing imported goods need to
have higher tariffs in order to reduce the amount of cheaper
goods being imported that will directly affect locally produced
goods. The preservation of local enterprises and jobs
must have precedence over imported cheaper goods.
With recent events of 2008 that made an impact on the economy
of the United States is a prime example of how volatile
globalization is; how a series of events in one country
can trigger a cascade of economic decline which impacted
countries all around the world. When countries and
communities rely on products, goods and financial support
from international sources to survive the ability to provide
realistic stewardship to govern local economies can quickly
become precarious. By relying on the import and export
of goods for economic survival a community can quickly be
faced with economic decline when they rely on another country
that’s entering a recession. Lost revenue in
international trade can cause wide spread economic collapse
because of the simple nature and flaw of relying on globalization
for economic survival, which is not always good sense in
doing what’s best for a community.
Building Economic Stability
Economic reconstruction of a poverty stricken community
is a major project that must begin with community participation
and government involvement that benefits the community as
a whole. Basically poverty and war torn communities
are often faced with under going an economic restructuring,
reorganization and reconstruction in order to recover from
economic recession or depression. In order to build
economic stability and a humane method to commercial development
that is conducive to the economic future of any community
and country one must first evaluate natural resources and
community needs.
There are a great many theories and conjecture that outlines
economic recovery and growth projects, however there is
really no one answer to creating sustainable economic growth
models that will work for every community worldwide.
The best answer to developing viable economic projects is
to successful complete community and nation wide independent
economic development models that are customized for the
specific needs of a community, country and global region.
The economic model should include the community’s
relationship to other communities and the impact on resources
and the communities themselves. Community transformation
and the role of corporations, local governments, support
services and community participation in the economic reconstruction
and development are vital to any successful economic model.
We have worked with several venture capital organizations
to invest in large scale manufacturing facilities as well
as import and export businesses in poverty stricken communities
in order to create badly needed jobs. However it is
clear that economic development programs that will establish
financial stability in communities and create jobs have
shown that we need to encourage the development of small
local business enterprises.
Too often foreign corporations take advantage of economically
challenged communities and countries in order to secure
capital gain. In most cases international corporations
and interests, invest in large scale commercial enterprises
such as factories, often only offering a handful of job
opportunities at low wage scales, which can also bleed wealth
and capital gain from a country to offshore accounts and
investors.
One of many solutions in economic development that can effect
positive change is to establish a capital venture group
solely designed to assist in establishing local enterprises.
Even to invest in partnerships in small business startups
with local business entrepreneurs, where the investors can
own up to 49% of a local enterprise, leaving the local entrepreneur
maintaining 51% or higher of the business. A mutual
relationship that can be profitable for all parties involved.
This type of capital venture company has the primary goal
to establish locally owned businesses to maintain majority
capital gain to remain within the community or country and
not be drained to offshore interest groups and investors.
To maintain local control over capital gain is vital to
maintaining local infusion of capital that benefits the
community and country. Locally owned small enterprises
have the potential of creating a great deal more jobs in
a country than a couple of foreign invested factories.
Economic
Development Projects as Non-Profit Projects
The general public concept of humanitarian projects is providing
for those in need, starving, homeless, refugees and those
suffering with disease. Humanitarian projects must
take a broader scope, as a humanitarian organization we
must consider how to make long-term opportunities for individuals.
The concept of creating jobs was our aim with this project
concept. Creating badly need jobs by concentrating
on industries that are in demand we not only create employment
opportunities, we create a better environment that is conducive
to an individual’s future and well-being. This
is the hallmark to the philosophy Humanitarian Economic
Development Endeavors (H.E.D.E.) and Non-Profit
Economic Development Endeavors (N.E.D.E.)
that we are committing ourselves to, by encouraging and
investing in economic growth that will create job opportunities
we can create lasting affects that will touch and change
many lives.
To focus on creating economic growth and job opportunities
we researched the top industries that have proven growth
and will continue to flourish for years to come. The
industries we have selected are prime vehicles that we recommend
communities to invest in, that will create economic growth
and badly needed jobs.
Concept of Non-Profit Economic
Growth Projects
The concept and commitment to building, developing and investing
in non-profit businesses is a new concept to create sustainable
economic growth. These business ventures are not designed
to be profitable in the since you would think of for normal
business, they will be business run and operated by non-profit
organizations. These businesses will be profitable
in the since that a significant amount of profits form the
business will go to maintaining the success of the business
venture and jobs, all remaining profits from those businesses
will go into a trust fund to continue the cycle of additional
business incubation with the same philosophy and commitment
of stimulating economic growth and creating badly needed
employment opportunities. Which is the organization’s
concept of Non-Profit Economic Growth (N.P.E.G.)
projects, the fundamental concept of perpetual economics.
An example would be building businesses such as the TWLG
Community Empowerment Centers, housing projects,
manufacturing plants, agricultural projects, infrastructure
projects (power plants, water reclamation facilities, waste
management systems, etc.), adult trade schools, technical
training centers, etc… Where profits from these
types of businesses and industries will be used to create
not only economic growth through jobs and business incubation,
but also go towards funding new projects and programs for
the community.
By creating economic growth governed by humanitarian values,
doctrines and objectives, which will provide opportunities
and stability to a community, may be the answer to eliminating
poverty, hunger, illiteracy, civil strife and crime.
